Gameplay[edit | edit source]

Magiclegends-gameplay.jpg

In Magic: Legends you become a Planeswalker, a powerful being traveling through the planes of the Multiverse, and fighting endless hordes of enemy creatures and mighty opponents. On your journey you will gather materials and spell cards to build a strategical synergistic deck which will help you controlling the chaos of battle.

Initially announced as MMORPG (massive-multiplayer-online-roleplaying-game), Magic: Legends over the course of developement changed into an ARPG (action-role-playing-game). The objective of the player is to build up a character which fights in fast-paced real-time combat. This character can constantly be improved by collecting and upgrading items, for example spell fragments. An extensive library of spell cards can be incorporated into a deck. Artifacts and equipment will add more effects. All of these combined with Planeswalker abilities from a specific Class are supposed to be built into a strategical synergistic Loadout. Adjusting these components will drastically change gameplay, enabling the player to adapt a desired playstyle. While drawing four cards at random from your deck, tactical decision-making is a important focus in combat. Players can join up with up to two other players (six on the overworld) in coop mode and challenge others in PvP (player versus player).
